This weekend, we joined up with our good friends at Cheesycam.com to give the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema another test run. However, that wasn’t the only camera we brought. We thought it would be fun to do a couple of Field of View (FOV) tests comparing the Pocket Cinema Camera’s crop factor to that of the Canon 5D Mark II and the Panasonic GH3. Our glass of choice for this exercise was the Rokinon 85MM and 35MM lenses.
As a bonus, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and scenery around us and just shoot away with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema. We had a few more lenses at our disposal and we were in absolute awe of the amazing images we were able to capture. Check out the video below to see what we came up with.
*NOTE: You may notice the Blackmagic footage in the Field of View test somewhat soft. This is NOT because of the camera, but rather due to the fact that we have variable ND filter attached to the lenses, which tends to soften images.
